WHY WE'RE TEACHING YOUR KIDS ABOUT MONEY

Conversations about money are regarded as adult conversations in most African families. Why is an important element of daily life being relegated to a particular sect of society?

Like any other form of learning, financial education should ideally start at an early age. This process should also continue throughout life as it helps people gain the necessary skills required to make sound financial decisions.

Alan said it best! It’s important for your kids to learn about money because one day, they’ll have to handle it on their own. With the rise of technology and the global economy, it’s becoming more and more crucial for individuals to be financially literate and to have a solid understanding of how money works. That’s where Ruwah comes in – to be your guide in getting your children on the right track.

WEALTH BEYOND MONEY

For Ruwah, wealth is not just about money, but a holistic view of one’s life. It’s about having a healthy body, meaningful relationships, knowledge, experiences, opportunities, and more. Our goal is to teach children that wealth is not just about the amount of money they have in their bank accounts, but about living a fulfilling life. We aim to help them understand that wealth can be achieved through purpose and vision, and that setting goals and working hard towards them can lead to a life of abundance.

KNOWLEDGE IS THE KEY TO WEALTH

Poverty and financial illiteracy often go hand-in-hand. In many African countries, there is a significant lack of financial literacy, resulting in an educational and opportunity gap between African children and their peers in other parts of the world. Without proper education, this gap can only widen, leading to a continuous cycle of poverty. To help break this cycle, it’s crucial that kids understand money and financial literacy from a young age so that they can make informed financial decisions in the future.

At Ruwah, we believe that every child deserves the chance to live a life of wealth and abundance. Through our education program, we aim to provide children with the knowledge and skills they need to understand money and finance, and to make informed decisions about their finances. By teaching them about wealth beyond just money, we hope to inspire them to live a life of purpose and to pursue their dreams with confidence.
